After more than a decade performing and writing alongside Grammy-winning artists from around the world, Gilad Barakan has emerged as a leading voice on acoustic guitar.
At 20, he received the Outstanding Player Award from Musicians Institute, presented by jazz fusion legend Scott Henderson, and soon began touring with a variety of groups and singers. In 2015, he graduated from Berklee College of Music and started touring with Venezuelan singer Nella, appearing on her records and co-writing and producing some of the music. He recently produced Tamara Jokic’s 2025 album Kuca and has worked and toured extensively with Turkish singer Elif Sanchez, writing and producing music over the years. He is currently on tour with Grammy-winning singer Chandrika Tandon, promoting her new album.
His first single, Quarter Sephardi — a whirlwind of notes with flamenco-inspired gestures — is out November 14.
